Jesus is someone who shared in some of the most painful aspects of being human - so that we can have eternal life.
Jesus knows our suffering because he also suffered. Jesus received cruel treatment here on earth despite never doing anything wrong. He was humiliated, betrayed, rejected, beaten and crucified. He grieved and mourned for those close to him that he lost.Â
1 Peter 2 verses 21-23 in the Message Bible states that "...This is the kind of life you've been invited into, the kind of life Christ lived. He suffered everything that came his way so you would know that it could be done, and also know how to do it, step-by-step. He never did one thing wrong, not once said anything amiss. They called him every name in the book and he said nothing back. He suffered in silence, content to let God set things right."
Jesus loves you no matter what you have done. You matter to Jesus. He can create something positive and beautiful out of all your negative choices.
If you want to personally know Jesus, then the next step is to call out to Jesus in prayer. Pray to Jesus and ask him for his forgiveness and love. Remember, He is for us, and not against us.
